Residential Recycling

Residential Recycling Services

Electronic equipment and technology recycling with Spectrum Ecycle is more important than most people realize. By throwing out e-waste like cell phones, batteries, TVs, computers, and appliances, we are creating a huge toxic landfill issue. As of 2016, the EPA estimates only about 12.5% of e-waste is recycled with 9.4 million tons ending up in our landfills.

“For every one million cell phones recycled, the EPA states that 35,274 lbs. of copper, 772 lbs. of silver, 75 lbs. of gold, and 33 lbs. of palladium can be recovered. Based on e-waste disposal rates, Americans throw out phones containing over $60 million in gold and/or silver every year.”

Data Not Vulnerable

If you throw out your electronics or drop them off at the dump, do you know who has access to the information that’s stored on that computer, phone, laptop, or copier? Even if you perform a “wipe clean” function at home, it is never really free from your information and is vulnerable to identity theft.

At Spectrum Ecycle, we have an audited industry data destruction certification process. Our rigorous, responsible process includes witnessed data destruction, precise documentation at different stages of the process, and an industry regulated certification that is presented to you proving data destruction is complete. You can rest assured – your identity is safe when you recycle your electronics with us.
